Ghost Matches = appearances under 6.5 rating with zero goal contributions and 30+ minutes played. Ghost-rate = ghosts ÷ total appearances. We capped the sample at players priced above $7m in fantasy and 25+ appearances this season.
What to do with this
If your team has 3+ players from the top-10 ghost-rate list, you're holding a high-variance squad. Some weeks you'll get a 12+ point haul; some weeks you'll get a string of blanks. Swap two of them for bottom-10 names and you'll find your weekly volatility drops sharply.
This won't make you a higher-scoring manager — it makes you a more predictable one.
